Install Flooding System
Chat screens are being filled with bots spamming what they are selling and automatically trading items so I have come up with a solution. Since it appears ANET has been unable to boot all of the bots that are selling items online using a very unnecessary number of posts per minute you should develop a system that will ban people typing to many lines, or flooding, per minute. This ban should last for about 5 minutes. Then less bots will be in towns/outposts and there will be a lot less spam going on in towns and outposts. Blizzard has developed a similar system for Starcraft and Warcraft, so I do not see why Anet cannot put a similar system in Guild Wars.

Um, no.
Bots will change /pause 1 to /pause 10. There is already a system in place, which prevents you from typing for a few seconds if you spam. Bots simply change the delay to avoid it. Also, all bots that I've seen in the longest time, use the trade channel. It's idiots who spam regular chat that are the problem. /facestab was proposed, but Anet said it's difficult to implement. |
